€28,00In the introduction to the book, Yoginâm has written about its creation:
Although I was living in an islamic environment and shared in its customs, I had only glanced superficially at some translations of the Quran. I was not really caught by it. It is only now, when I finally decided to make an effort and read the Quran in Arabic, that I discover a very different book. Both clear and ambivalent, both ordered and seemingly incoherent. I discovered a richness in meaning that is often lost in translation.
Reading the first chapters, or surah’s, it struck me how close the text is to Nâm and I started to make some notes with regard to these correspondences. Gradually it turned round and I found in the Arabic text of the Quran a beautiful way to explain Nâm and the Ethics of Nâm.
‘A Nâm Selection from the Quran’ consists of two parts. The first part is a selection of Ayat with the original Arabic text and a specific translation, as close to the Arabic text as possible, in which some Nâm concepts are used. The second part contains some reflections to a number of these Ayat.

€25,00In this book Yoginâm suggests the ultimate as Abbah, a basic sound, an ultimate mantra, that is left undefined, which is neither a name nor a representation. Because it is a sound that is fundamentally biological and that is left undefined in any rational or conceptual manner, Abbah is fully open and universal. Its use responds to the psychological needs of people who live in a globalised culture, that is necessarily pluralistic in nature.

€29,95Educated, well-travelled and confident about his place in the world, Ismael finds himself drawn into a town that seems to exist on the edge of everything he has ever known. Confronted with completely new perspectives on life and the world around him; over tea and in silence, it seems, he may have found exactly what he never knew he was looking for.
Full of pithy dialogue and set in places that exist just as profoundly in fantasy as they do in reality, here is one of those books that will capture your attention, just when you need it. Whether taking in the complete narrative, or simply finding meaning in a randomly opened page, in Ismael you will discover torches being lit, and the illumination of a path that leads to what you have always known, but never knew that you knew. Ismael is no less than an exceptional illustration of other ways in which we can redefine our place in the world(s) around us.
